What's Going On?
Stan Weaver Email Migration on Monday, June 22, 2026
What's Going On?
As part of our ongoing IT consolidation, we will be migrating your Office 365 services (including email, OneDrive, and SharePoint) into the AIR Office 365 environment on Monday, June 22, 2026 at 6:00 PM EST.
During the cutover, email will be temporarily unavailable. By Tuesday morning, you will need to set up a fresh Outlook profile to get back into your mailbox. Your messages, calendar, and contacts come with you.
Some email addresses will be updated as part of this move to bring everyone onto the AIR standard format (first initial followed by last name, for example jsmith@yourcompany.com).
Your Microsoft Teams chat history (one-on-one chats and group chats) does not transfer with this migration. Teams data lives on a separate platform and stays with your old account.
If there is a Teams conversation you need to keep, copy the content out into an email to yourself, a OneNote page, or a Word document before Monday, June 22, 2026. After the cutover, those chats will not be reachable.
Any Teams meetings already scheduled on your calendar will have join links that no longer work after the cutover. Recurring Teams meetings you own should be deleted and recreated from your new account.
Why?
Moving everyone onto a single AIR tenant brings several improvements:
-
Easier scheduling, since you can see availability for colleagues across all of AIR.
-
A single company-wide address book.
-
Standardized security controls protecting company and customer data.
-
Consistent licensing, support, and tooling across the business.
When?
What Do I Need to Do?
- Copy out any Teams chat history you need to keep (one-on-one chats, group chats). Paste into an email to yourself, a OneNote page, or a Word doc. Teams chats do not transfer.
- Note any recurring Teams meetings you own. You will need to recreate them after the cutover.
- Review additional help documentations in preparation for migration.
- Remove your current work account from the Microsoft Authenticator app on your phone.
- Remove your current work account from any other Microsoft app on your phone, including Outlook Mobile, OneDrive, and Teams.
- Sign in to www.office.com using the temporary password we will send the evening of the migration. You will be prompted to set a new password.
- Re-register Multi-Factor Authentication using the Microsoft Authenticator app. The on-screen prompts walk you through it.
- Set up a new Outlook profile on your computer (instructions attached).
- Attend a group setup session (preferred) or request one-on-one support if you need it. The help desk will run sessions throughout Tuesday, June 23, 2026.
